New World vs. Old World
Wednesday, March 25th 6:00-8:00PM $74/person
There are some pretty big differences in the way wines are made in the US (New World) versus other countries like France, Spain, and Italy (Old World). Traditions, regulations, climate, and soil are among the factors that create these differences. Come taste and compare wines from California with their counterparts from Europe, and even test your newfound knowledge in a round of blind tasting!
The Guadalupe Valley in Baja, Mexico may be one of the last places you would think of when you think of great wine. However, this region has been making wine for many years, and is currently having explosive growth in world-class wineries, restaurants, and resorts. Come and explore some of the fantastic wines coming out of that region!
